Description

The edition was printed at the printing house of the Suprasl Monastery of the Annunciation in 1795.

Printed in two colors, in Church Slavonic. Foliation appears in the lower right corner, with signatures at the bottom center of the page.

The text is decorated with Lombardic letters (a form of decorative initial), headpieces, and cast ornaments.

At the end of the book is a handwritten note in ink, in which the words "Sloboda..." and "Gracious sir Lazur Khvedorovych" can be read.

The pages bear ownership marginalia, a condensed rendering of the book's text in a modern hand (in pencil, in blue, red, green, and violet).

The cover is wooden, bound in leather with a stamped ornament: on the front, a depiction of a stylized cross within an ornamental frame; on the reverse, a diamond mesh surrounded by the same ornamental frame. On the edges of the cover are traces of clasp fittings.

The book belonged to Pohorielova of Kharkiv (born 1897), who lived in the area of the Nemyshlia River.

Donated to the museum by Larysa Mykolaivna Pohorielova in 1991.
