Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver and gilt metal threads. The ornament is a stylized floral motif made up of two identical main elements — a lily with leaves, its head pointing downward, set within a scalloped field with a zigzag line along its lower contour. Along the top edge is a border.
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
