Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted gilt metal threads. The ornament is geometric, in the form of wavy lines, trefoils, and abstract figures with rectangles set within them. The lower edge is wavy. Along the top edge is a wide border.
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
