Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver metal threads. The ornament is a stylized floral motif; the repeat consists of a profile flower with leaves and a three-petaled half-flower, arranged alternately against an openwork mesh ground with a diamond weave. The edges of the lace end in small tassel-festoons.
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the collection of the pre-war Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).

The ornament is geometric and stylized floral, in the form of a wave-like band, into whose recesses a three-petaled half-flower is set. The lower edge of the lace ends in festoons. Along the top edge is a wide border with an inset meander.
