Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver and gilt metal threads. The ornament is geometric, in the form of a chain with inscribed small columns. The lower edge is scalloped. Along the top edge is a band of meander and a narrow border.
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
