Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver metal threads. The ornament is geometric, in the form of four rays with openwork mesh between them. The lower edge is wave-like, and along the top edge is a wide, sparse border.
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
