Prayer Book for Orthodox Warriors

Printed in 1907. The book contains 62 pages, printed in black ink, with numeric pagination. The edition is decorated with headpieces and tailpieces, and contains the illustration "The Lord Almighty." On the cover is an ornamental frame depicting an eight-pointed cross against a background of a radiant circle and a starry sky with clouds, the title of the edition, and the face of Archangel Michael.

Consists of two sections. The first contains the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and the Creed. The second contains prayers to God and the saints for various occasions (before battle and others).

The prayer book was donated to the museum by H. I. Petrov of Kharkiv in 1976.

Note: the "Short Prayer Book for Orthodox Soldiers" is a pocket edition of religious texts, issued in large numbers in the early 20th century (including the period of 1903–1907) for the needs of the army and soldiers.
