Description

Handmade lace, woven from twisted gilt metal threads. The ornament is geometric, in the form of a wave-like band, its lower recesses filled with scallops and its upper recesses with an inscribed leaf. Along the top edge is a wide border.

Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.

Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
