Description
Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver metal threads. The ornament is geometric, in the form of a chain with mesh-filled cells and an inscribed 'snowflake' motif. The edges of the fragment have a slight 'wave.'
Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.
Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
