Description

Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver metal threads. The ornament is geometric and stylized floral, with elements including an outlined rhombus with an inscribed 'snowflake,' a rhombus with a filled center, and a stylized six-petaled flower, all set into an openwork field. The edges are trimmed with small scallops.

Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.

Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
