Description

Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver and gilt metal threads. The ornament is a stylized floral motif with a four-petaled flower and a leaf as its elements, set into an openwork field. Along the edges are sparse small scallops.

Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.

Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
