Description

Handmade lace, woven from twisted silver and gilt metal threads. It has the form of a band with a toothed upper edge and a scalloped lower edge. The ornament is geometric, in the form of a silver wave-like band with a gilt two-petaled half-flower set into its recesses.

Monastery-made lace, produced in the second half of the 18th century.

Belonged to the pre-war collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S. Skovoroda. Remained in the museum during the occupation of Kharkiv during the Second World War (1941–1943).
