Description
Made of red velvet, trimmed around its perimeter with golden galloon (braid) bearing a linear ornament; in the interior field is an off-center overlay in the form of a straight four-armed cross with radiance, embroidered in gold metal thread.
Note: "pelena" is a general term for a group of ornamental textiles used in church practice. This particular pelena was used as an underlay beneath liturgical objects.
