Description

A cover in the form of a four-armed cross. The front is made of red velvet, decorated with an embroidered floral and geometric pattern. At the center is a four-armed shaped cross with widened lobes; within the recesses of the arms is a composition of acanthus leaves and volutes.

Along the edge of the cover is a sewn-on fringe trim of silver metal thread.

The reverse is lined with yellow silk fabric.

Entered the museum's holdings in 1956.
