Cross-shaped embroidery.

Hand-embroidered on white cotton canvas with black, white, and gray-blue thread in cross-stitch technique; the edges are bound with white braid. The appliqué takes the form of a four-armed cross, into whose field is set a Catholic cross with rounded arms, worked in black. The crossbars are decorated with wavy palm branches; at the crossing is depicted a double crown of thorns with the christogram "INS" at the center.

The object entered the museum's holdings in 1949. It was used in the Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kharkiv.
