Description

The omophorion is made of brocade with a floral ornament, bound with a wide yellow border bearing four-armed crosses and a geometric ornament. At the center of the field of the omophorion is a single cross, set within a diamond-shaped pattern with rays of radiance, flanked on either side by two four-armed crosses with rays between their arms. At the ends are two longitudinal bands of yellow galloon with four-armed crosses and a geometric ornament, and a fringe of metal thread. Loops and metal buttons are sewn to the edges. The reverse is lined with yellow cotton fabric.

The omophorion entered the museum's holdings in 1955.
