Description
The oil lamp is made of gold- and silver-toned metal.
The fragment is shaped, round in cross-section. The body is spherical, tapering into an upper neck and finishing in a stylized "dome" with a ring for hanging.
The decoration is set within individual "windows," openwork, composed of flowers and lush rocaille leaves. Among the separate decorative elements were three cherubim, attached with a bolt fitting.
Note: the oil lamp belonged to the pre-war (pre-1941) part of the collection of the Historical Museum; it was evacuated in 1941 and returned to Kharkiv in November 1944.
