Gospel

The Gospel was printed in 1918.

Printed in a single color, the text in Church Slavonic. Letter pagination appears in the upper outer corners of the pages. The edition is decorated with running heads and initials.

On the front flyleaf is a provenance note in the form of a handwritten text in graphite pencil: "This book, from May 1, 1918."

The cover is of stiff cardboard, covered in dark-blue calico. The front cover is decorated with an ornamental frame of winding floral ornament, at whose center is a shaped cartouche with an eight-pointed cross.

It was donated to the museum by Volodymyr Stepanovych Cherviakov of Kharkiv in 1979.
