Description
Printed at the printing house of the Pochaiv Lavra in 1781.
Printed in two colors (black and red), in Church Slavonic.
Contains three appendices: 1. the Book of Hours, 2. troparia and kontakia, 3. prayers read during the sacrament of baptism.
At the end of the book are church-calendar tables (the Paschalion, the "lunar table," the "hand of Damascus," and so on).
Letter foliation appears in the lower right corner of the page, with signatures at the bottom center, and running heads are present. At the beginning of the book is a full-page engraving with the subject "King David." The book's decoration is complemented by headpieces, tailpieces, and initials.
The Psalter has a hard cover with wooden boards, bound in brown leather with a stamped double rectangular frame, its field scattered with floral and leaf motifs. The front cover is lost; on the back are the remnants of leather clasp straps.
The book was donated to the museum by Volodymyr Petrovych Kulikov of Kharkiv in 1985.
