The icon shows the Ozerianka Mother of God with the Infant Christ, who blesses with his right hand. The Mother of God and Christ are shown frontally. The Mother of God is shown three-quarter length, in a three-quarter turn to the right; the Child is shown full-length, in a three-quarter turn to the left. The Mother of God wears a tunic and maphorion; Jesus Christ wears a tunic. The Mother of God holds the Child with her left hand, her right hand pressed to her chest. Jesus Christ holds the Gospel in his left hand. The icon is set in a metal frame. Only the faces and hands are painted in oil. The garments of the Mother of God and Jesus Christ are engraved on the frame; around the perimeter is a frame in the form of an arch. The field of the frame is covered with a floral and geometric ornament. The halos are applied. At the bottom of the frame is the inscription: "OZERIANSKAIA." The icon is painted on a panel.

The icon belonged to Sofiia Petrivna Hryhorieva of Kharkiv, and was donated to the museum by Varvara Ivanivna Kreider in 1966.
