Sumtsov Kharkiv Historical Museum Ж-894 The icon shows full-length figures of Saint Prince Michael, in a three-quarter turn to the right, and Saint Martyr Nadia, in a three-quarter turn to the left. The Prince wears a crimson sakkos decorated with wide gold appliqué bands, and a crown on his head. Above the Prince is the inscription: "St. Prince Mikhail." The Martyr wears a light-green chiton and a red himation. Above her is the inscription: "S. MAR[TYR]... NADEZHDA." The Prince extends his left hand toward Nadia and holds a cross in his right. Saint Nadia stands with her long, loose fair hair, her hands pressed to her chest. Above the saints, in the clouds, in a three-quarter turn to the right, is Jesus Christ, wearing a white chiton, his hands open in a gesture of blessing. The background of the icon is dark green. The panel is reinforced with two inset end battens.
