Printed in two colors. The text is set within an ornamental frame of double scrollwork. Foliation appears in the upper right corner, catchwords in the lower right corner, and signatures at the bottom center. The book's decoration is complemented by headpieces, tailpieces, and a full-page engraving, "The Holy Tsar and Prophet David." Contains typewritten insertions "For the health of" and "For the repose of" (followed by the note "insert / 50 kopecks"). On the left-hand page of folio 6 is a handwritten text in blue ink: "N. V. Zelenskaia died June 20, 1961, at 4:45 p.m."
The cover is of stiff cardboard, covered in brown leather; the spine is lost.
The Psalter was acquired by the museum from Valentyna Ivanivna Liubymova, a resident of the village of Kostieve, Valky district, Kharkiv region, in 1981.
Note: it differs from an ordinary Psalter in that it includes an appended Book of Hours and prayers drawn from other liturgical books.</lido:descriptiveNoteValue>
