Sumtsov Kharkiv Historical Museum КБ-7236 The book was printed in the 19th century. It was acquired by the museum from V. I. Liubymova, a resident of the village of Kostieve, Valky district, Kharkiv region, in 1981. Note: the New Testament is the sacred book of Christianity, part of the Bible, written by Christian saints in ancient Greek. For Christians, the whole Bible, together with the New Testament, is the Word of God — divinely inspired, though written by human hands. A "testament" is a covenant, an agreement made between man and God. The New Testament tells of the union of God with humankind through Jesus Christ. The word "testament" means an agreement between two parties. God's covenant with humanity consists in a person receiving Christ into their heart as their own Savior and thereby gaining adoption by God; Christ's covenant, established on the eve of His death on the cross and sealed with blood — as the covenant of God with Israel was sealed with the blood of innocent sacrificial animals.
