Харківський історичний музей імені М. Ф. Сумцова M. F. Sumtsov Kharkiv Historical Museum М-3958 The center and left leaves of a folding triptych icon, made of yellow metal. Rectangular in form, close to square. The leaves are joined by elongated, tightly fitted hinges. At the top are two plain suspension loops. The images sit within a recessed "ark" with a double frame and a high rim. At the center is a knee-length image of Jesus Christ, seated; he blesses with his right hand and holds an open Gospel in his left. Around Christ's head, within the halo, are the Greek letters "Ho Ōn" — "He Who Is." At the top of the icon, on either side of the halo, is the inscription "IC XC," and below it "LORD PANTOCRATOR" (inscriptions in Church Slavonic; exact reproduction of the lettering is not possible in digital text). On the left leaf is a half-length image of the Mother of God, in a three-quarter turn toward Christ, with unfurled scrolls in her hand. On either side of the halo around the Mother of God's head is the inscription "MR ΘU." The background of the icon is decorated with a floral ornament. On the reverse of the left leaf is a symbolic depiction of Golgotha: an eight-pointed cross against a backdrop of Jerusalem. The image sits within an oval frame with a floral ornament.
