The icon has a deep recessed "ark" with a wide frame and a high rim. At the center of the composition is a full-length image of the Virgin Mary, her head inclined and her arms outstretched. She is surrounded on both sides by the sick, the crippled, and those afflicted at heart. At the top of the icon is the Church Slavonic inscription: "Mother of God, Joy of All Who Sorrow." The icon's frame is decorated with a geometric ornament. In the header is a half-length image of Jesus Christ with a cruciform halo. To the left and right of Christ's halo is the inscription: "Jesus Christ, King of Kings." The frame of the header is decorated with floral and geometric ornaments. The icon is decorated with green and blue enamel. The folding icon belonged to the collection of the Sloboda Ukraine Museum named after H. S.
