Sumtsov Kharkiv Historical Museum Ж-890 ЛВС-51 The iconographic image is close to the "Passion" (Strastna) type of Mother of God icons; in its compositional features it may be related to the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The Mother of God, supporting the Infant on her left arm, holds his right hand with her right hand and inclines slightly toward the Child, who has turned away from her. The icon has a silver riza with cutouts for the "flesh" painting, close to an academic style; everything else — the garments of the Mother of God and the Infant, the radiance, and the frame — is engraved on the mirrored field of the riza. The halos are applied, many-rayed. On Christ's halo is the inscription "Ho Ōn"; on the Mother of God's halo is a relief crown, ending in a cross. Around the perimeter of the icon is a wide frame with a floral acanthus pattern and palmettes, the corner segments decorated with radiant glory. To the left and right of the halos are floral cartouches with rectangular, three-dimensional appliqués bearing engraved inscriptions "MR," "ΘU." The icon panel has inset end battens. The icon's riza was made in 1838. The icon belonged to S. P.
